De-constructed beauty

The collages in the de-constructed beauty series challenge societal norms and expectations.

The artworks are a reflection of the artists’ aim to create a new face, that challenges the preconceived notions of what a face should look like. By blending and re-constructing faces from people of different backgrounds, skin color, gender and age the artist aims to highlight how all human beings are interconnected, regardless of their differences.

The works are a powerful statement about the need to embrace diversity and reject harmful ideas like racism, sexism, ageism and homophobia. By bringing together elements that are traditionally seen as separate or even opposed, the artist aims to create a new vision of beauty that is inclusive.

Against the backdrop of today’s polarized world, the artist wants to inspire the viewer to question their own assumptions and unconscious biases, and join her in celebrating the beauty of diversity and unity.

After all, beauty is relative.
